NJ WATCHDOG: 2010-2015

Late in my career, New Jersey Watchdog provided an unexpected opportunity to show this old mutt still had plenty of new tricks. 

Over five years, I cranked out nearly 300 investigative reports. I won two New York Press Club Awards, and NJ Watchdog was named top independent online site by the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.

To get an idea of NJ Watchdog’s reach, here is a 51-page list of stories picked up by other news organizations in 2015.

After the site fell victim to the fiscal failings of Watchdog.org, the parent news organization, most of the reports vanished from the Internet.
